Q1) What is Dye Sublimation printing?
A) This is a process where solid dye particles are changed into gas using a mixture of heat and pressure, which then bond to the polymer surface, (ie, the T shirt, mousemat, placemat etc), and then changes back to a solid. The ink then lies beneath the imprintable surface to leave a smooth print with no feel, so will not crack like other types of printing!
Q2) Can you sublimate on dark T shirts?
A) No. The inks will only show up on light coloured garments. If you tried to print on a dark shirt the inks would not show up! (There is a complicated process, using special dark paper, but I do not offer this at present!) We are not just limited to white t-shirts, for printing, pale pastel colours also work well!
Q3) Do you have to use a special type of T shirt?
A) Yes. The T shirt must have a polyester outer, or be 100% polyester. You can sublimate on 65/35cotton mix also, but the results will not be as good! Imprintable Items also need a special coating to be printed onto!
Q4) What will the resulting print quality be like?
A) Your T shirt will be long lasting and bright with a smooth surface, as the inks will be underneath the material. You can stretch the image, and crease it, and it will still be the same smooth quality. It will not crack or peel and washes well. It may also be ironed without damaging the print. Other imprintable Items have a good quality finish and are extremely durable. We have had excellent results from sublimation printing!
Q5) Will my T shirts/items look exactly the same as what I see on my monitor?
A) Not exactly. All the images shown on the T shirts/ Items are the actual graphics that will be used on your T shirts, but the colours will vary slightly on printing. All monitors will display colours slightly differently, so the print may look slightly different than the colours shown, although you may not even notice this! It will still be a high quality print and long lasting. Please note, graphics/photos may look slightly bigger or smaller when printed as they will be edited accurately to fit the Item they need to be printed onto!! (I cannot guarantee the exact size shown on the website, as this is JUST to give you an idea of what the design will look like, and NOT an accurate size! (There won't be any major differences, & you probably wouldn'tt notice any!)
Q6) What are your shipping and delivery costs?
A) Most Deliverys for the UK will cost £3.75 per order. The price will then increase in small increments, dependant on weight! Details of your postage will show as you checkout! Parcels will be sent using first class Royal mail service. If you are ordering several heavier items, then there may be an extra charge for delivery which you will be notified of! For example heavier items like mugs or placemats will cost more to send!

Q7) How long will my order take to arrive?
A) We aim to get your order to you within 8 - 10 days, although during busier periods, this may be longer. It will also depend on whether you have ordered personalised items, as this may also take slightly longer! You will be notified by e-mail if there are longer delays. (Most Orders are done in under this time.) If you require an order to be dispatched quickly, you may make a request, and we will do our best to fulfil requirements!
Q8) Can we submit our own artwork for printing on any of your imprintable items, and what format does it need to be?
A) Yes, as along as it is not copyrighted material, or anything offensive. You can send your request by e-mail attaching the image as either a jpeg or gif format.( I will also accept AI files, EMF, TIFF, PDFs or PSD's) I will also need to know any special instructions! (Follow the customise your item links that are found on the page by first choosing the link, ie, mousmats!)
Q9) Does it cost more to have a personal photo printed on to a T-shirt or mousemat etc?
A) Yes, the price for personalisation at the moment is just £1.00! We offer customisation MUCH cheeper than other companies & do NOT throw in set up fees!, We guarantee a high quality service, and a prompt response to all queries.
Q10) What happens after I send the e-mail with my photo attached for my customised item?
A) You will receive a notification e-mail to let you know we have received your request. To complete the order you will be sent a link with a paypal button which will take your payment through the checkout process. Just follow the instructions. As soon as payment has been received, your order will be processed!
Q11) What are your payment options?
A) Payment at present is only available through Pay Pal. This is a secure system for payment and you do not have to have an account with them! Instructions are easy to follow and if you do have an account you will be asked to log in and checkout will proceed faster! Please contact me if you have any problems with this method. Q12) What is your returns policy?
A) Although we do not offer a free returns policy, you may take your items to your local post office to be returned to us for a full refund or exchange. We do ask to order very carefully, as customised items will be unable to be re-sold! |
